Buchanan Man Arrested, Accused of Sending Threatening Emails to Multiple Henry County Officials
HENRY COUNTY – An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the arrest of a Buchanan man accused of sending threatening emails to multiple Henry County officials.
On August 26th, at the request of 24th Judicial District Attorney General Neil Thompson, TBI special agents began investigating allegations involving Nicholas Guarnieri (DOB 9/23/90). During the course of the investigation, agents determined that in July, Guarnieri began sending daily harassing emails to the Henry County Register of Deeds Office and other county officials. The emails began after the Henry County Sheriff’s Office assisted Guarnieri’s mortgage company with an eviction.
On August 26th, Guarnieri was arrested and charged with seven counts of Harassment and two counts of Retaliation for Participation in Judicial Process. He was booked into the Henry County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct, not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
